Christmas In GA

We had the opportunity to be in GA this year for Christmas. My Brother Justin and his Wife Liz were going through the Temple for the first time and were being sealed to each other and to their Son Aidan. We couldn't pass up this opportunity.

So we flew into Columbia SC, (with a connecting flight in Charlotte NC) and they picked us up at the airport on Tuesday, 12/22.

That night was the endowment session and then we stayed the night at the Marriott Town and Suites like 5 minutes from the Temple. Then on Wednesday at 12pm was the Sealing. It was great to see how many people from their ward came to support them. Even Liz's Dad was there (he is not a member).

After the sealing we all went to lunch at Chili's and then headed back to their house for Christmas. It was so much fun being there and hanging out. Not really having any plans to do anything but visit. Christmas Eve we opened 1 gift and wouldn't you know it was PJ's. I needed new ones.

Christmas day Aidan came in a woke everyone up! Good thing it wasn't too early. So we all got up and opened presents and had a great day just relaxing and playing with all the toys he got. Thanks to everyone that got us stuff. We really appreciate it.

The day after Christmas we went to the movies and saw Alvin and the Chipmuncks the Squeakwal and it was really cute. We got to the theater an hour early so we sat and entertained ourselves.

On Sunday we went to Church on Sunday for Sacrament Meeting and then headed out to the airport. My parents drove us back to Columbia to catch our flight. There was no one at the airport. It was like a a ghost town. We caught our flight to Charlotte where we had a three hour layover. Once we left at 8:30pm we were in the air headed home. We had to make an emergency medical landing in NM. Needless to say we got home an hour late. We finally arrived at 12:30am and got home at 1am and went to bed by 1:30am. Next time we will try not to get home so late. But we were glad that we went.

It was a nice break to get away and not worry about anything. And we knew that Boz was being taken care of by great friends and he was. He was so excited to see me when I went to pick him up. I am just glad he remembered me. Now that he had a bath, he is napping on the couch. Now its back to the swing of life. We hope all had a great Christmas and we wish all a Happy New Year!

Wells Family Newsletter 2009

Dear Family & Friends,

It’s time once again for winter wonderlands, crackling fires, gingerbread men, hot chocolate with marshmallows in a Santa mug, and holiday treats with Rachael Ray and Paula Dean (Yaw). It’s time for snowballs, snowflakes, and snowmen, sleigh bells ringing and choirs a-singing, wreaths, reindeer, and presents, colorful blinking lights and cinnamon candle scents, Nativity Scenes and Nutcracker armies, candy canes and the annual tree ornament. It’s time for the pre-planned trips to Wal-Mart, for George Bailey and Bedford Falls, and We’ll Follow The Old Man Wherever He Wants to Go in White Christmas, for Christmas CDs, lots of cards hanging on the front door, and the 12 days of Christmas. Then there’s Ole Saint Nick whom we don’t give enough credit. It’s time to put up the tree!!! It’s time for watching all the parades on all the original networks, kicking back to football and a bowl of chili (with cheese), and all the classic Christmas claymation movies you can watch. Hi Yukon!!!! These are just a few of our favorite holiday things.

Usually you can find us traveling about doing much good around the world. Visiting family and friends, dropping by here and there reminiscing about the old and the new, talking much of plans and accomplishments, neat things and big dreams. But not to worry, we’ll be back around soon when you least expect it to enjoy our time once again with good ole you whom we dearly and truly admire. But come see us too. This past year you probably spotted us on top of South Mountain in Phoenix hiking at 5:00 am every Saturday morning, or you probably spotted us at a Styx /REO Speedwagon /38 Special concert back in May, or you even probably found us at the dog park every Sunday night letting our new little furry family member, BOZ, run around with the other K9s. We adopted BOZ from a rescue shelter and he’s quite an interesting intelligence with fur that eats whatever’s not glued down. It has been so wonderful having BOZ in our life. He has brought much joy and love into our home. He loves to play keep-away, sleep all sprawled out, and pick up his food bowl while the food is still in it to re-position it from the kitchen to the living room before he digs in. He was only 3 months old at the time we adopted him (we just celebrated his 1st b-day two weeks ago). It took a lot of patience and lots of lost sleep in house training him, but we did it. He has been through eight weeks of puppy training, graduated with a diploma from PetSmart and got puppy ice cream for a graduation gift. Now we can sleep through the night……….until he has to go out. …uuuggghhh!!!! “Hey you trained me to do that.” Says BOZ.

Speaking of little family members, we are now certified as adoptive parents and are looking forward to adding some little Wells’ to our home. It has been quite the process, but we finally made it. You can view our profile at www.itsaboutlove.org. Then click on view adopting family profiles on the left hand side and go in as our guest. Our Profile ID is 21601909. Please keep us in your prayers, that when the time is right we will welcome in our home some little bundles of joy, one way or the other. We have included cards that you may pass on to those you know, or
someone who knows someone, when the need arises.

To close this all up, we want to take a quick line to say thanks and show our appreciation to all of you, both fathers and brothers, who have served in the military in our combined families. Thank you for fighting for and guarding the freedoms we have in both past and present. This year we say Welcome Home (again) to “G” and Justin from the Middle East, or wherever it was you had been covertly deployed.

We feel blessed for all that we have and all that we are. May God bless you too this Holiday Season and in the New Year to come with peace, love, and joy.

Love you all, Chad, jlynn & Boz (Bozzymoto)

So last Saturday the Missionaries asked us to go with them to the Temple Lights cause they were going to be there with a couple that they care teaching. So of course we went. We go every year. It is such an amazing sight and so humbling. And of course I took pictures. I was running around light a tourist taking as many pictures as I could. Here are a few.

jlynn turned 27!

So last Saturday was jlynn's 27th birthday! It started at 5:30 am with singing and presents. Chad totally surprised me and had presents, cake and flowers waiting for me in the living room.

Boz didn't know what was going on!

So I opened presents and blew out the candle on the cake.

Chad had written a code on the inside of my card and I had to decipher it. Three red roses, 2 new shirts and movie tickets for New Moon at 11:35am. So we hurried and did our hike and then came home and made it to the movies. Afterwards we went to Red Robin for lunch. YUM, YUM!!! I love Red Robin. Then we came home took naps and then I went to the church building to watch the Roadshows that our Stake did. It was such a fun birthday. I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband who would show so much love to sit through another Twilight movie. Thank you honey! I can't wait to plan something for your 40th birthday next year!

I just want to end by saying how lucky I am also to be able to share a birthday with such an amazing sister! Janna I love you and am so glad that we came to earth together. I don't know what my life would have been had you not been in it. You are my best friend and confidant. Again I love you.
