So we finally finished our profile for our adoption. It was tough writing the Birth Parent Letter. Plus we had to choose 24 pictures. Wow, I can't believe how much we have changed over the last 7 years.
But at last we can say that now all we are waiting for is a call from our caseworker that we are certified and then our profile (after he reviews it) can be posted and then its a waiting game to see if we are chosen. Once our profile goes up I will be posting it on our blog for all family and friends to view. So please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. And if you know anyone who knows anyone please let us know. :)
Good Night and hope all are doing great!

Happy Halloween
So I hope all had a great Halloween. I know we did. Our ward had their annual Halloween Carnival that we have with the other two wards that meet in our building. So of course I dressed Boz up for it. (And yes I made his costume.)

When I put the cuffs of him he just sat and wined. But he was a good sport for pictures. Once we left home Boz was able to get the front ones off so I took them off but left the collar. He was a BIG hit at the carnival. Plus there were other dogs there to.
Afterwards we went over to a friends house (Steve and Natalie Alger) and carved pumpkins. Natalie and I went on Friday with her son Eli and went to the pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins. We had so much fun.

Can't wait to get the pics that Natalie took. They were cute.
Here are some pics of the pumpkin that we carved. Chad drew the face, I carved and cleaned out and then he painted. It was fun.

Then went home and I did laundry. Now that was SCARY!
But all in all we had a great Halloween. Now I can't wait for my Birthday and Thanksgiving!

Christmas Came Early
So over this past weekend we joined the flat screen tv group. Its only taken us years to decide if we wanted one or not and could not pass up the great deal. So we figured it would be our Christmas present to us. We also thought we would wait till we were in a house to get one. This way we wouldn't be moving around and a chance that it would break. But when we saw the deals we couldn't pass it up. I can't believe how cheap they are getting now.
We were not hogs and buy the biggest one. We got a modest one that is perfect for our apartment. We got a 37" RCA. Now all we need are the HD channels. That will have to wait. But I do have to share one funny tid bit though. When we got home you would think that me, as the wife, would be in the kitchen making dinner and Chad would be in the living room hanging it. NOPE!! I was in the living room drilling holes and putting up the wall hanger and Chad was in the kitchen making lasagna. Total gender switch. But you know what it just goes to show you that anyone can do anything they want regardless of their gender.
And because I am such a scrapbooker I told Chad to grab the camera and take pics. Proof I guess that I actually did it. What a pain in the butt and I can't wait to do that again in a house. At least it will be there permanently!
Well that's all for now!

Cheese Grater Won!
Yesterday I got the idea to make meatloaf since in the last 7 years I have not made it. So I went to the store and got everything I needed. Came home, took a nap and then got up to make it. As I was gratering the carrots I accidentally grated my ring finger on my right hand. OUCH! I just have to say that this has now made my top 10 list of things not to get hurt by. Its about 1 1/2 inches long and is a pretty deep cut. I could get the bleeding to stop and thought I might have to rush over to the ER. But I cleaned it really good (again OUCH!!!) wrapped it in gauze and taped it pretty tight. My finger was throbbing my the time I was finished making dinner. After that I got out my salad master cuter thingy and finished shredding the carrots. Why didn't I just use that to start with? I have not idea!!! But I will now be using that for every shredding, dicing, and anything else I can think of. Dinner turned out good and I can't wait to make meatloaf again next month!!! (Without shredding my finger again!). And of course I couldn't help but take a pic of it this morning. Its kinda gross, but as long as I don't apply pressure, its doesn't hurt. Now I am off to the Relief Society dinner and Broadcast!

Update
So a lot has happend since Girls Camp I hardly know where to begin. So sorry if this is a little long. Will try and keep it simple.
After Girls camp I got sick, well not so much sick as being subject to a week long of the hives. And trust me it was not pretty! I bought some new sheets for Chad's airmatress in his "man" room (second bedroom that he uses for his Sundat naps) and didn't wash them. I ended up taking a nap on the bed and woke up itching. By 3 am I was head to toe spotted and itching. So I went to the doctors and she gave me a cortizone shot and put me on a weeks worth of steroids. By the end of the week it cleared up. There were a couple of days that I thought it went away only to have its flare up. Even my loving husband went at 4:30 am to get me cortizone cream before he left on his Saturday morning hike. He always takes care of me when I am sick. Here are a couple of pics.

Once the hives cleared up I went boating with a friend and her brothers and their wifes and had a blast. I have never wakeboarded before and just went to ride on the boat. It was so much fun to get out after not being able to go anywhere for a week. So we got out to the lake and headed to their favorite spot I guess. The weather was perfect and the water was awesome! Everyone had their turn on the board and was about to hook up the tube when they turned to me and asked if I wanted to try. Well I couldn't say no with so many eyes on me so of course I said sure I'll try it. Well I did pretty good. I was able to get up on my second try and then face planted. Well after doing that a couple of times I was ready to give up. So on my last try I landed on the right side of my head. Well I thought I only got water in me ears and couldn't hear out of my right ear. So I thought what the heck I already hurt my ear might as well have one last shot of fun. So once they tight up the raft Natalie (my friend) and I jumped on and had so much fun being flung around and hitting the waves and of course we lost our grip a couple of times. And on the last time we (or maybe it was just me) hit the water really hard. I think if Natalie hadn't started laughing I would have cried instead. And of course I hurt my ear even more. So that night I got some ear drops to see if that would clear my ear up and nothing was working. It sounded like I was listening in a tunnel. So a week later (I know my mom already yelled at me!) I finally went in to see my doctor. And wouldn't you know I had punctured a hole in my eardrum! So she sent me to see an ENT specialist. Luckily I was able to get in to see one the next day. She looked in my ears (scarred from all the earinfections and tubes I had as a kid) and she confirmed that I had a hole in my ear drum. She said she wanted to see if it would heal on its own and to come back in 5 weeks. If it doesn't heal then she would have to do a paper patch. And it would then heal a few weeks later. So now its a waiting game. I couldn't believe that I had done such a reckless thing. But it sure was fun! The Dr. then looked in my left ear and noticed that the skin that is suppose to vibrate in the eardrum is stuck to the bone (not sure what it is called) and that in 5-10 years if I don't get it fixed I could lose my hearing perminently. I thought great! But the good news is that it can be fixed with a simple proccedure that she can do in her office. Thank goodness. But I may have to wait on that for a little bit. I just want my right ear to heal and to have my hearing tested. (Maybe that's why I talk so loud!)
Here are a few pics of me on the board.

After the fun of putting a hole in my eardrum I went on a scrapbooking retreat in CA with my cousin. It was so awesome! We left Friday and came back the following Tuesday. 3 1/2 days of nothing but staying up late watching movies and scrapbooking. It was soooo much fun. There was 14 of us and we rented a 5 bedroom/5bathroom house in Palm Desert. The house was perfect. Nice open living room that we could set up tables and all be in the same room. Plus we had to of had at least$1,000 worth of Cricut cartridges that we could all use. It was great! Puts my two to shame. I was able to finally scrapebook our wedding. Thanks to Costco ($12.00 for 86 pics) and Joann's (after spending almotst 6 hours Sat running from store to store trying to find just the right paper) and the scrapbook that Chad gave me on our 1 year anniversary (we have now been married 7 years) I was able to do it. Now I just need to do our honeymoon. But I think we still have film that needs to be developed (neither one of us had a ditigal camera then). Now I am on the hunt for a really cute tropical (since our honeymoon was a cruise) book and paper. I hope I can find something in the scrapbook convention that is coming up the first weekend in Oct. I made so many new friends and learned so many new tricks. I also have a whole new wish list of things for Christmas! There was a group shot taken of all of us and I hope that it will get e-mailed to us. For now all I have is pics of the house. Here are the ones that I took of our wedding album.

I think that is pretty much it except for our Stake re-doing ward boundaries and now I am not in the same ward with my YW. I am sooo sad, but we are going to the same building so I will get to see them every Sunday. I wonder what my calling will be???
That's all for now. I promise not to wait so long to write. Hopefully the next time I do I can announce that we are certified to adopt. So if you have any friends or family, or friends of family, please let them know that we are looking to adopt an infant. Till next time, God Bless.
